Changing the name of your Wi-Fi network is a simple process that can be done in a few steps.

Step 1: Access your router’s settings

To change the name of your Wi-Fi network, you’ll need to access your router’s settings. To do this, you can open your web browser and type in your router’s IP address in the address bar. Typically, the IP address is printed on the back of your router or can be found in the user manual. Once you have logged into your router’s settings, you can begin the process of changing the network name.

Step 2: Locate the Wi-Fi settings

Most routers have a menu option called “Wireless” or “Wi-Fi” where you can access the settings related to your network name. Find the Wi-Fi settings menu and click on it to see the options for your network.

Step 3: Change the network name

Once you have accessed the Wi-Fi settings menu, look for the option to change the network name (sometimes referred to as the SSID). It may be called “Network Name,” “SSID,” or something similar. Click on the option and enter your new network name. Depending on your router, you may also have the option to change the network password at the same time.

Step 4: Save your changes

Once you have entered your new network name and password (if applicable), be sure to save your changes before exiting the router’s settings. The exact steps for saving your changes may vary depending on your router, so be sure to follow the instructions provided in the menu.

Step 5: Reconnect your devices

After changing the network name, you will need to reconnect any devices that were previously connected to your Wi-Fi network using the old network name. Simply access the Wi-Fi settings on your devices and select the new network name from the list of available networks. Enter the new password (if applicable), and you should be connected to your updated Wi-Fi network.

Overall, changing the name of your Wi-Fi network is a quick and easy process that can help protect your network from potential hackers. By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your Wi-Fi network remains secure and personalized to your liking.
