Absolute volume is a feature in Windows 10 that controls the volume level for both the device’s speakers and headphones simultaneously. When the absolute volume is enabled, the volume level of the speakers and headphones is synced and cannot be controlled independently. This feature is particularly helpful for people who switch between speakers and headphones frequently.

Enabling absolute volume is easy. Here are the steps to enable or disable absolute volume in Windows 10:

1. Right-click on the Volume icon in the taskbar

2. Select “Volume Mixer”

3. Click on the “Device Properties” link under the device you want to adjust

4. Check or uncheck the “Disable absolute volume” checkbox

5. Click “OK” to save changes

If you choose to disable absolute volume, you will be able to adjust the volume levels of your device’s speakers and headphones independently. However, you should note that disabling absolute volume can cause issues with certain Bluetooth devices.

In conclusion, absolute volume is a useful feature in Windows 10 that helps synchronize the volume of a device’s speakers and headphones. Enabling or disabling it is a simple process that can be accomplished in just a few clicks. If you frequently switch between speakers and headphones, absolute volume can be a time and hassle saver.
