Internet browsers have become an integral part of our lives. We use these to search for information, access websites, make online payments, and much more. When we use these browsers, they store information about our browsing activities, including the websites we visit, search queries we make, and the passwords we enter. If left unattended, this information can be problematic in terms of privacy and security.

One way to ensure the safety of your browsing activities is by deleting or clearing your browser history from time to time. Among the widely used browsers in the world, Internet Explorer is one of them. Here’s a guide to clearing your browsing history in Internet Explorer.

Step 1: Open your internet explorer browser

Locate the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop or taskbar, and click it to launch.

Step 2: Locate the Tool Menu

Once the browser is open, click on the “Tools” menu located at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Open up the Internet options

After clicking the ‘Tools’ menu option, the options will be displayed in a drop-down menu. Click on ‘Internet Options,’ which is the third option down the list.

Step 4: Clear your browsing history

Once the ‘Internet Options’ dialogue box appears, click on the ‘Delete’ button located under the browsing history section.

Step 5: Select what to delete

After clicking the ‘Delete’ button, a new dialogue box will appear, which will allow you to select what parts of your browsing history to erase. Choose any of the options that you want to delete or erase everything by selecting all options.

Step 6: Confirm and complete deletion

Once you have selected the option(s) to erase, click on ‘Delete.’ A confirmation dialogue box will appear to confirm your choice. Once confirmed, your browsing history will be erased from your Internet Explorer browser.

In conclusion, deleting your browsing history on Internet Explorer is a simple process that can be done in six easy steps. By clearing your browsing history, you are ensuring that your browsing activities remain private, and no one can access your online accounts or search history. It is advisable to perform this action regularly, especially if you share your device with other users.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
