Instagram has become one of the go-to platforms for sharing moments of our lives through stories. However, to maximize the reach of your stories, there are several strategies to consider.

Here are eight ways to get more views on Instagram stories:

Use hashtags

Hashtags are crucial for expanding your story’s reach. Using relevant and popular hashtags will ensure that the right audience can find your stories. Including hashtags will also allow outside users to discover and engage with your brand.

Experiment with different media types

Instagram offers a plethora of media types that you can use to add variety to your stories. Use a combination of photos, videos, text, and GIFs to keep your stories exciting and engaging.

Storytelling

Using storytelling techniques in your stories will make them much more appealing to your viewers. Develop a narrative, use a unique perspective, and add your personality to your stories to create more interest.

Make the best use of Instagram’s built-in tools

Instagram offers a range of built-in tools to make your stories more interactive and engaging. Use Swipe Up, Quiz, Polls, and Questions to add a personalized touch to your stories and enhance engagement.

Consistency is key

Keep up a consistent story content posting schedule to build anticipation and encourage engagement. By providing consistent content, your viewers are more likely to look forward to your stories and watch them more often.

Collaborations and shout-outs

Collaborating with other users or giving shout-outs to other brands, companies, or influencers with a relevant audience will help to increase the visibility of your stories. Collaborating and engaging with others will expand your profile reach.

Tag other users

Tagging other relevant users in your stories is a practical way to get your stories in front of their followers. This will also signal that you are interested in networking with people or businesses in your niche.

Share behind-the-scenes moments

Sharing behind-the-scenes moments gives your audience a peek into your personal or brand life, which helps to build stronger bonds with your followers. Sharing exclusive or peek-through-insight moments can help to build a better relationship with followers.

Applying the above tips will help you to get more views on your Instagram stories, expand your reach, and reach a wider audience.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
