How to Tag Someone on Instagram

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms where people share their photos and videos with their friends and followers. With over 1 billion monthly active users, Instagram has gained immense popularity across the globe. One of the notable features of Instagram is the ability to tag someone in your photos, videos, and stories. In this article, we will guide you on how to tag someone on Instagram.

First, we will look at how to tag someone in your Instagram posts.

1. Open your Instagram app and navigate to the post you want to tag someone in.

2. Tap on the Tag People option on the bottom left corner of your screen.

3. Click on the photo where you want to add a tag and then type the person’s username. You can also select the name from the drop-down menu that appears when you start typing.

4. After selecting the person, place the tag wherever you want on the photo by dragging it to the desired location.

5. Once you have finished tagging the person, click on the checkmark icon to save your changes.

Note: You can tag up to 20 people in one Instagram post.

Now, we will look at how to tag someone in your Instagram stories.

1. Open your Instagram app and navigate to the story you want to tag someone in.

2. Tap on the Sticker button located at the top of your screen and select the Mention option.

3. Type the person’s username in the search bar that appears.

4. Once you have selected the person, you can place the tag wherever you desire on the story by dragging it to the desired location.

5. Once you have finished tagging someone in the story, click on Done to save your changes.

Note: You can tag up to 10 people in one Instagram story.

Finally, we will look at how to tag someone in your Instagram comments.

1. Open your Instagram app and navigate to the post you want to tag someone in the comment section.

2. Type “@” followed by the person’s username. You can also select the name from the drop-down menu that appears when you start typing.

3. Once you have finished typing the person’s username, the person’s name will appear in blue.

4. Click on the Post button to save your comment.

Note: You can tag as many people as you want in one Instagram comment.

It is important to note that you should always ask for permission before tagging someone in your post, story or comment.
