If you are experiencing a black screen with a cursor on your Windows 10/11 PC, it can be frustrating and stressful. Don’t worry, there are a few easy ways to fix this issue and get your computer back to normal. In this article, we will discuss the top easiest ways to fix the Windows 10/11 black screen with cursor.

1. Restart Your PC

The first and simplest solution is to restart your computer. A simple restart can fix most of the issues. Press the power button once, then wait for your PC to shut down. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart your computer.

2. Boot into Safe Mode

Another solution is to boot your computer in safe mode. Safe mode disables unnecessary drivers and programs that may be causing the black screen issue. To enter safe mode, press the F8 key as soon as your computer starts up. Select Safe Mode from the menu and press Enter. Once you’re in safe mode, try to uninstall or update any recently installed drivers or programs.

3. Disconnect All External Devices

Sometimes, external devices like printers, scanners, and USB drives can cause issues with your computer’s display. Disconnect all external devices connected to your computer, and then try to restart it to check if the issue is resolved.

4. Run the System File Checker (SFC) Tool

The SFC tool scans your Windows system files and replaces any corrupted or damaged files with a cached copy. To run the SFC tool, open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type sfc /scannow. Press Enter and wait for the scan to complete. The tool will automatically replace any missing or corrupted files it finds.

5. Restore to a Previous System Restore Point

If you have created a system restore point before experiencing the black screen issue, you can restore your computer to a previous state when it was working fine. To do this, search for System Restore in the Start menu and open it. Choose a restore point before the issue occurred and click Next. Follow the prompts to restore your computer to that point.

6. Reset Your Windows PC

If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting your PC. Resetting your PC will remove all the installed software and reset your Windows settings to default. To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Click on the Get Started button under Reset this PC and follow the prompts to reset your computer.

In conclusion, the black screen issue with a cursor on a Windows 10/11 PC can be frustrating, but it’s not an uncommon problem. There are a few easy ways to fix this issue, and we’ve discussed the top easiest ones in this article. Try these solutions one by one and see which one works best for you.
