How to Open a Snapchat Without It Saying ‘Opened’

Snapchat is a social media platform that has been widely used by millions of people around the world. As the platform grew over the years, so did its features, and the feature to see if someone has opened your snap has been an important part of the application. However, if you’re looking for a way to open a Snapchat without it saying ‘opened,’ then you have come to the right place. Here, we will discuss a few ways that you can use to achieve this.

1. Use Airplane mode

One of the easiest ways to open a Snapchat without it saying ‘opened’ is to turn on the airplane mode on your phone. All you have to do is to open the Snapchat app, enable airplane mode, and then open the snap. Once you have viewed the snap, exit the app, turn your phone off airplane mode, and then close the app again. The sender will not receive a ‘seen’ notification.

2. Use Snapchat notifications

If you’re using an iPhone, you can use the Snapchat notifications to your advantage. You can enable Snapchat notifications to show up on your lock screen, and then use the 3D touch feature to view the snap without actually opening it. With this method, you can view the snap without it saying ‘opened’ and avoid alerting the sender that it has been seen.

3. Use Snapchat’s Widget

Snapchat offers its users a widget that allows them to view their received snaps without ever having to open the app. You can set up the widget on your lock screen, and then view the received snap without ever having to open it. This way, the sender won’t receive a notification that you have viewed the snap.

In conclusion, while Snapchat’s ‘open’ feature is a useful tool, it can be a nuisance in certain circumstances. The aforementioned methods, namely the airplane mode, notifications, and widget methods, are ways to avoid letting someone know you have viewed their snap. Whether you’re trying to avoid hurting someone’s feelings or just want to maintain a level of privacy, these methods can help you open a Snapchat without it saying ‘opened.’
