Search as your default search engine, or maybe a software update changed your Chrome settings. Whatever the reason, it’s easy to remove Yahoo! Search and switch back to your preferred search engine.

Here’s how to remove Yahoo! search from Google Chrome in a few simple steps:

Step 1: Open Google Chrome.

Step 2: Click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: In the drop-down menu, select “Settings.”

Step 4: Scroll down to the “Search engine” section and click on “Manage search engines.”

Step 5: Highlight Yahoo! Search in the list of search engines and click the “Remove” button.

Step 6: Make sure your preferred search engine is selected – such as Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo – and click the “Make default” button next to it.

Step 7: Close the settings tab, and you’re done!

If Yahoo! Search was set as your homepage, you’ll likely want to change that as well. To do so:

Step 1: Open Google Chrome.

Step 2: Click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: In the drop-down menu, select “Settings.”

Step 4: Scroll down to the “On startup” section and select “Open a specific page or set of pages.”

Step 5: Click on “Add a new page” and enter the URL of your preferred homepage.

Step 6: Click “Add.”

Step 7: Close the settings tab, and you’re done!

In conclusion, removing Yahoo! Search from Google Chrome is quick and easy. By following these simple steps, you can regain control of your browsing experience and enjoy faster, more efficient searches. Happy surfing!
