How to Install VirtualBox on Windows 11

VirtualBox is a popular type 2 hypervisor software that enables you to create a virtual environment on your computer. This software is widely used for running multiple operating systems without affecting the primary operating system. If you are a Windows 11 user and want to create a virtual environment on your system, you need to install VirtualBox.

In this article, we will explain how to install VirtualBox on Windows 11.

Step 1: Download VirtualBox

VirtualBox is open-source software available for free on the Oracle website. To install VirtualBox on Windows 11, go to the official website of the Oracle VirtualBox and click on the “Download” option.

Step 2: Install VirtualBox

Once you have downloaded the VirtualBox setup file, double-click on it to start the installation process. A new window will appear showing the VirtualBox setup wizard. Click on the “Next” button to continue.

Step 3: Select Destination folder

In this step, you need to choose the destination folder to install VirtualBox. Select the folder where you want to install VirtualBox and click on the “Next” button.

Step 4: Select Components

VirtualBox provides the option to select the components you want to install. You can either install all components or choose the ones you need. Once you have selected the components you want to install, click on the “Next” button.

Step 5: Create Shortcuts

In this step, you need to choose whether you want to create shortcuts and icons. If you want to create shortcuts and icons, select the options accordingly, and click on the “Next” button.

Step 6: Install USB Support

VirtualBox provides the option to install USB support. If you want to use USB devices inside the virtual environment, select the option to install USB support and click on the “Next” button.

Step 7: Install VirtualBox

Once you have completed all the steps, click on the “Install” button to start the VirtualBox installation process. Wait for the installation process to complete.

Step 8: Complete VirtualBox Setup

After completing the installation process, you need to complete the VirtualBox setup. Click on the “Finish” button to complete the setup.
