Love handles can be a stubborn area to target, but with the right exercises, you can effectively work on reducing them from the comfort of your home. Here are five of the best at-home workouts to help shrink love handles:

  1. Russian Twists:
    • Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet lifted slightly.
    • Lean back slightly, keeping your back straight.
    • Twist your torso from side to side, touching the floor beside you each time.
    • Perform 3 sets of 20 reps.
  2. Side Planks with Hip Dips:
    • Start in a side plank position.
    • Lower your hip towards the ground, then lift it back up.
    • Do 3 sets of 15 reps on each side.
  3. Bicycle Crunches:
    • Lie on your back with hands behind your head.
    • Lift shoulders off the ground and bring one knee towards your chest while extending the other leg.
    • Twist to bring the opposite elbow towards the bent knee.
    • Alternate sides in a pedaling motion.
    • Perform 3 sets of 30 seconds each.
  4. Standing Oblique Crunches:
    • Stand with feet hip-width apart.
    • Place one hand behind your head and the other on your hip.
    • Crunch to the side, bringing your elbow towards your hip.
    • Do 3 sets of 20 reps on each side.
  5. Woodchoppers:
    • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
    • Hold a weight or water bottle with both hands.
    • Twist and bring the weight diagonally across your body, from high to low.
    • Perform 3 sets of 15 reps on each side.

Remember, spot reduction isn’t possible, so combine these exercises with a balanced diet and overall fitness routine for best results.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
