Introduction:

Unleash your inner MacGyver and learn how to create a BB gun with items you might already have lying around – like a pen or mechanical pencil! These handy little firearms are perfect for some light target practice at home or a small-scale battle with your friends. Just remember to play responsibly and wear safety goggles! Here are four ways to make a BB gun using either a pen or mechanical pencil.

1. The Basic BIC Pen BB Gun

Materials:

– BIC round stic pen

– BBs

– Scissors

– Tape

Instructions:

1. Remove the pen cap, ink tube, and end button.

2. Cut the hollow ink tube in half using the scissors.

3. Place the cut ink tube back into the pen, leaving an opening at one end.

4. Use tape to secure the tube in place.

5. Load a BB into the open end and blow into the other end to fire the BB.

2. The Mechanical Pencil Launcher

Materials:

– Mechanical pencil

– Eraser cap

– BBs

– Elastic band

Instructions:

1. Remove the eraser cap and any lead from the mechanical pencil.

2. Attach an elastic band to both sides of the eraser cap.

3. Stretch the elastic band over the open end of the mechanical pencil.

4. Load a BB into the open end of the pencil, behind the elastic band.

5. Pull back on the elastic band and release it to fire the BB.

3. The Modified Pen Spring Shooter

Materials:

– Pen with removable spring (like a clicker pen)

– BBs

– Tape

– Paperclip

Instructions:

1. Disassemble your pen and remove its spring.

2. Straighten one leg of a paperclip.

3. Thread one end of your pen spring onto the straightened paperclip leg.

4. Secure the paperclip and spring by wrapping tape around the joint.

5. Guide the BB into the open end of the pen, keeping it in place with your finger.

6. Pull back on the spring/paperclip contraption and release it to fire the BB.

4. The Advanced Two-Tube Pen Gun

Materials:

– Two pens (one slightly larger in diameter than the other)

– Pen with removable spring

– BBs

Instructions:

1. Remove the ink tubes from two pens.

2. Remove the spring from a third pen (preferably one with a clicker system).

3. Insert the smaller pen tube into the larger pen tube, leaving a space for the BB at one end.

4. Place the removed spring into this created space between both tubes.

5. Load a BB into the space at the barrel end of your gun, compressing the spring.

6. Hold onto both tubes and aim your gun at your target before releasing pressure on them to fire.

Conclusion:

With just a few common materials and some creativity, you can easily make a fun BB gun using either a pen or mechanical pencil! Just remember to play safely and responsibly – these DIY firearms pack quite a punch for their tiny size! Happy shooting!
