Introduction:

Changing your MSN password can help keep your account secure and prevent unauthorized access to your personal information. In this article, we will walk you through the process of changing your MSN password in just eight simple steps.

Step 1: Navigate to the Outlook.com Sign-In Page

Visit https://www.outlook.com and proceed to the sign-in page. This is where you will initiate the process of changing your MSN password.

Step 2: Sign In with Your Current Account

Enter your email or phone number, then click “Next.” Following that, input your current password and click “Sign In.”

Step 3: Access Your Account Settings

Once signed in, click on your profile picture or the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear. Click on “View Account.”

Step 4: Proceed to Security Settings

In the account settings page, locate and click on “Security” located on the blue navigation bar. This will redirect you to your account’s security settings page.

Step 5: Verify Your Identity

Before accessing sensitive information such as changing your password, Microsoft requires additional verification. Click on “Verify Identity.” You may be prompted to enter a code sent via email or SMS based on the security information linked to your account.

Step 6: Open Password Change Screen

After successfully verifying your identity, find and click on “Change My Password” within the security settings page.

Step 7: Enter New Password

In the new window, type in your current password one more time. Next, enter a new password containing a mix of upper case and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters for enhanced security. Confirm the new password by re-entering it in the space provided.

Step 8: Save & Logout

Finally, click on “Save” to confirm changes. It is advisable to sign out and then sign back in with your new password to verify everything works properly.

Conclusion:

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your MSN password by following these eight steps. Remember to always ensure your password is strong and unique, and regularly update it to maintain the security of your account.
