Cricket enthusiasts everywhere have much to talk about with the unveiling of the best ODI XI of the year 2024, boasting a lineup that blends classic expertise with fresh talent. These cricketers have made remarkable contributions throughout the year, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.

Opening the batting are Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam, who have consistently delivered solid starts for their teams. Rohit’s masterful stroke-play and Babar’s technical prowess make them formidable at the crease.

At number three, Virat Kohli continues to dazzle fans with his relentless run-scoring ability. Despite passing through different phases of form, Kohli’s place is cemented by his experience and his knack for playing match-winning innings when it counts.

The middle order is reinforced by Ross Taylor and Ben Stokes. Taylor’s presence adds stability, while Stokes offers explosive power-hitting and versatility. Their ability to construct an innings or shift gears quickly makes them valuable in any match situation.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is slotted in next, providing balance with his left-arm spin and middle-order batting. His all-round performance in 2024 has been nothing short of spectacular.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant brings x-factor to this team. His fearless approach and quick scoring ability add depth and dynamism to the batting lineup, while his keeping skills remain sharp behind the stumps.

The bowling attack starts with Jasprit Bumrah leading the pace battery. His unique action and pinpoint accuracy have made him one of the most difficult bowlers to face this year.

Partnering Bumrah is Kagiso Rabada, whose pace and bounce have terrorized batsmen in 2024. His ability to take wickets in clusters has been invaluable for his team.

The spin department includes leg-spinner Adam Zampa, whose googlies have been a mystery for batsmen this year. He’s complemented by left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner, known for his economical spells and crucial breakthroughs.

Finally, making up the eleventh spot is Trent Boult. His swing bowling under any conditions adds another layer of threat to an already formidable bowling lineup.

Collectively, these players have put up scintillating performances throughout the year, rightly earning their spots in the best ODI XI of 2024. This dream team represents a blend of tactical acumen, raw talent, and cricketing intelligence capable of taking on any challenge thrown its way on the international stage.
