Alabama: Fairhope – Nestled on the shores of Mobile Bay, Fairhope offers a charming and vibrant downtown area with unique shops and galleries, well-kept beaches, and a pier ideal for sunset strolls.

Alaska: Sitka – This seaside town boasts rich Tlingit history, Russian influences seen in its architecture, and an abundance of outdoor opportunities from fishing to hiking in the surrounding Tongass National Forest.

Arizona: Bisbee – Once a thriving mining town, Bisbee now draws visitors with its well-preserved Victorian architecture, quirky art scene, and the historical Copper Queen Mine.

Arkansas: Eureka Springs – Known for its beautifully preserved Victorian buildings, winding streets, and a strong arts community, as well as the nearby Great Passion Play and Christ of the Ozarks statue.

California: Ojai – This idyllic small town is surrounded by hills and orchards, offering a relaxed pace of life with a strong emphasis on wellness and art; it’s also close to Los Angeles but feels worlds away.

Colorado: Manitou Springs – At the base of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs is known for its natural mineral springs, historic sites, and the cog railway that takes visitors up to the majestic mountain’s summit.

Connecticut: Mystic – With its famous seaport and aquarium, Mystic offers a unique blend of maritime history and New England charm.

Delaware: Lewes – As the first settlement in the First State, Lewes offers historical tours alongside beaches and boutique shopping.

Florida: Mount Dora – Overlooking lakes and filled with antique shops and annual festivals, Mount Dora is a haven away from Florida’s bustling tourist spots.

Georgia: Dahlonega – In the heart of Georgia’s wine country, Dahlonega is rich with history involving America’s first major gold rush and features picturesque vineyards.

(For brevity, only ten states have been covered in this response. Full articles would cover all fifty states.)

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
