Los Angeles is a city known for its vast culinary landscape, and when it comes to seafood, it particularly shines with its offering of mariscos — a style of seafood that is typically associated with Mexican coastal cuisine. From taco stands serving up fresh fish tacos to fine dining restaurants offering exquisite ceviche plates, there’s no shortage of excellent mariscos spots around the city. Here are the 15 best mariscos spots in Los Angeles where seafood lovers can indulge.

.Mariscos Jalisco – This famed food truck is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican seafood. The shrimp tacos, loaded with fresh avocado and salsa, are a citywide favorite.

.Coni’Seafood – Known for its Nayarit-style cuisine, this Inglewood spot’s ceviches and grilled snook are standout dishes that keep diners coming back.

.Mariscos 4 Vientos – Offering a simple but flavorful menu, their tostadas topped with heaps of fresh seafood are perfect for a casual yet satisfying meal.

.El Coraloense – This family-run establishment combines flavors from Sinaloa and Nayarit. Their unique sushi rolls with a Mexican twist are an innovative take on traditional mariscos.

.Mariscos El Faro – Located in Highland Park, this food truck offers generous portions and everything from oysters to their spicy shrimp taco called “Taco Gobernador.”

.La Cevicheria – A hidden gem specializing in Guatemalan-style ceviche and other Central American seafood dishes.

.Baja Fish Tacos – As the name suggests, they serve up some of the best fish tacos in Los Angeles, reminiscent of those found in Baja California.

.Holbox – A counter-service spot inside Mercado La Paloma that serves Yucatecan-inspired seafood dishes including wood-grilled octopus and aguachile.

.Mariscos Chente – Praised for its Sinaloan-style ceviche and pescado zarandeado—a must-try grilled fish delicacy.

.Jame Enoteca – Known for their homemade pasta, they also offer incredible market fish crudo served with impeccable seasoning and sauces.

.The Jolly Oyster Market – For those who enjoy bivalves, their fresh oysters and clams can be enjoyed al fresco at their Venice Beach location or taken home.

.Seafood City Supermarket – This Filipino supermarket provides a wide range of fresh fish and other seafood to cook at home or sometimes cooked to order on-site.

.Tacos Punta Cabras – This Santa Monica spot offers delicious Baja-style tacos and tostadas in a laid-back setting perfect for lunch dates or casual dinner outings.

.Playita Mariscos – Offering mouthwatering seafood dishes in Silver Lake, their ceviche mixto filled with various fresh catches is highly recommended.

.Lauren’s Seafood Hut – A south LA institution where spicy garlic shrimp plates are served alongside traditional sides for an immersive mariscos experience.

Each of these spots offers something special that contributed to their reputation as one of the 15 best places to enjoy mariscos in Los Angeles. Whether you prefer your seafood raw or grilled, spiced mild or fiery hot, you will surely find something here that suits your palate while providing an authentic taste of coastal Mexican cuisine right in LA.
