Discord has become a vital platform for communities to communicate and collaborate, but like any software, it can sometimes be plagued with frustrating issues. One such error is the “This Interaction Failed” notification that users on Discord for Windows may encounter. If you’re tired of seeing this error, here are the top seven fixes to try:

1. Check Discord’s Server Status: Before diving into any complex troubleshooting, make sure the problem isn’t on Discord’s end. You can check Discord’s server status online to see if there are any ongoing issues.

2. Restart Discord: A classic fix that works more often than not is restarting the app. Fully close Discord and reopen it to see if the interaction works afterwards.

3. Update Discord: Ensuring that you have the latest version of Discord is essential since updates often contain bug fixes. Open the app and it will auto-update, or download the latest version from Discord’s website.

4. Clear Discord Cache: Over time, your cache can accumulate and cause errors. Navigate to `%appdata%/Discord` and `%localappdata%/Discord` on your PC and delete the cache files found within these folders.

5. Run as Administrator: Sometimes, permission issues can cause errors in Windows apps. Right-click on the Discord executable and select “Run as Administrator” to give it higher privileges that might solve the issue.

6. Check Your Internet Connection: A faulty internet connection could be causing this problem. Test other devices on your network or try resetting your router.

7. Reinstall Discord: If all else fails, there may be a deeper issue with your installation of Discord. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the app could resolve the problem by giving you a fresh start.

Try these fixes one by one until you find one that resolves the “This Interaction Failed” error on Discord for Windows so you can get back to chatting and gaming uninterrupted.
