Apple Music’s animated cover art feature adds a touch of magic to your music listening experience by bringing album covers to life. However, sometimes users may find that their animated cover art is not working. If you’re experiencing this issue, don’t worry! Here are nine troubleshooting steps that can help you get your animated cover art moving again.

1.Check Your Internet Connection

Ensure that you have a stable internet connection since Apple Music’s animated art relies on streaming data. Try opening a webpage or use another online service to test your connectivity.

2.Update Your iOS / macOS

Running outdated software can lead to compatibility issues. Check if there’s an available update for your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update on iOS or by visiting the App Store on macOS.

3.Restart the Apple Music App

Simply close and reopen the Apple Music app. This can resolve minor software glitches that might be preventing the animation from playing.

4.Force Restart Your Device

A force restart may clear up any temporary software bugs. The method varies depending on your device model, so look up how to do this for your specific iPhone or iPad.

5.Re-Enable the Animated Cover Art Feature

Go into the Apple Music settings and toggle off the Animated Cover Art option, wait a few moments, and then toggle it back on.

6.Update Your Apple Music App

Check the App Store for any updates to the Apple Music app itself, as updates often fix bugs and improve overall performance.

7.Resync Your Music Library

If the issue persists, try disabling iCloud Music Library (or Sync Library) in settings and then re-enable it to resync your library.

8.Restore Default Settings

As a more drastic measure, you could reset all settings on your device. This won’t delete media or data but will reset system settings like Wi-Fi passwords and home screen layouts.

9.Contact Apple Support

If none of the other steps work, there may be an underlying issue with your account or device that only Apple Support can resolve.

If you face issues with animated cover art not working on Apple Music, following these steps should help resolve most problems. Enjoy a seamless music experience with lively album animations back in action!
