Experiencing a “Video Memory Management Internal” error on your Windows PC can be perplexing and frustrating. This error is typically associated with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and may be an indication of issues with the graphics card or its drivers. Fortunately, there are certain steps you can take to try and resolve this error. Here’s a guide to help you fix the “Video Memory Management Internal” error on Windows.

1. Update Graphic Drivers: This error often occurs due to obsolete or corrupted graphics card drivers. To resolve this, you can visit your graphic card manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers for your system or use the Device Manager in Windows to check for driver updates.

2. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool: Faulty memory can cause this error as well. To check for memory issues, type “Windows Memory Diagnostic” in the Windows search bar and choose “Restart now and check for problems.” Your computer will reboot and check for any memory issues.

3. Check for Hardware Issues: Sometimes, this error could stem from a physical problem with your graphic card. Ensure the card is seated properly in its slot or consider cleaning it for dust that might have settled on it.

4. Check Disk for Errors: Running a disk check can help find and fix errors on your hard drive that might be causing the BSOD. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type “chkdsk /f” to scan and repair disk errors.

5. Use System File Checker: Corrupted system files could also be at fault. The System File Checker can repair them. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type “sfc /scannow” to run the scanner.

6. Perform a Clean Boot: Sometimes, third-party applications interfere with and cause BSOD errors like this one. Performing a clean boot starts your computer with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, which can help you determine if there’s an underlying software issue.

7. Restore Graphics Card Settings to Default: If you’ve tweaked your graphics card settings recently, restoring them to default might solve the problem. This process will differ based on your graphics software, but generally involves going into its control panel and selecting restore or reset options.

8. Windows Update: Keep your operating system up-to-date since Microsoft regularly releases patches that might fix the Video Memory Management Internal Error.

9. Replace Your Graphics Card: If none of the above solutions work, your graphics card may be failing and replacing it could be the only solution.

Remember that it’s important to back up your data regularly, especially before performing any major troubleshooting steps that might affect system files or configurations.

As you follow these steps, proceed cautiously; tinkering with hardware components or system files can have consequences if not done properly. If all else fails or you’re unsure about any step, seek professional help rather than risking further damage to your system.
