Google has once again upped the ante in smartphone features with its innovative Audio Magic Eraser tool, available on the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. This feature is a game-changer for audio enthusiasts and regular users alike, allowing them to remove unwanted background noise from their audio clips with just a few taps. Here’s your step-by-step guide on how to utilize this cutting-edge tool:

1. Open the Recorder app: Begin by opening the Recorder app on your Pixel 8 or 8 Pro. This app comes pre-installed on your device and serves as the launchpad for using the Audio Magic Eraser.

2. Record or select an audio clip: You can either record a new audio clip or select one from your existing recordings within the Recorder app.

3. Access editing options: Once you have your audio clip, tap on it to play it back. Here, you’ll see an option for ‘Edit’ which will take you into the editing interface of the Recorder app.

4. Highlight unwanted sound: As the audio plays, you can scroll through the waveform and locate the segment where the unwanted background noise is present.

5. Choose ‘Remove Noise’: After pinpointing the intrusive sound, you’ll find an option to ‘Remove Noise.’ Select this to initiate the Audio Magic Eraser process.

6. Let Google do its magic: Google’s AI will analyze the selected segment and work to isolate and remove the background noises that are detracting from your primary audio.

7. Review and save: After processing, it’s crucial to review the clip to ensure that the Audio Magic Eraser has met your expectations. If satisfied with the result, you can save your new, cleaner version of the recording.

8. Share or keep it private: You now have a polished recording free from unwanted sounds! You can opt to keep it for personal use or share it with friends, colleagues, or social platforms directly from the Recorder app.

Google’s Audio Magic Eraser feature in Pixel 8 and 8 Pro handsets has indeed set new standards in mobile audio technology by providing users with powerful tools previously only available in professional software suites. Whether you’re looking to perfect a recorded interview or just want a clearer memory captured in audio, Pixel’s Audio Magic Eraser is at your fingertips ready to assist.
