3 Ways to Replace the Battery in Your PC

1. Check Your Laptop’s User Manual: Refer to your laptop’s user manual for specific instructions on battery replacement. Once you have this information, purchase a compatible replacement battery for your device.
2. Turn off Your Laptop and Remove Power Cord: Before replacing the battery, ensure your laptop is turned off and disconnected from any external power source.
3. Replace the Battery:
Option A – External Battery:
Most laptops have a removable battery located on the bottom. Locate the release latch or locking mechanism and follow the manufacturer’s guide to slide out the old battery. Then, align the contacts and insert the new battery in place. Secure with the lock or latch.
Option B – Internal Battery:
Some laptops have an internal battery that requires opening up the device. In this case, consult your user manual for detailed instructions. Gently remove screws from the back panel of your laptop and carefully lift it up to access the internal components. Locate the battery and disconnect it from the motherboard by unplugging the connector cable. Replace it with a compatible new battery, connect it back to the motherboard and reassemble your laptop.
