1. Clean and empty your backpack: Start by removing everything from your backpack. This will allow you to take inventory of what’s inside and make it easier to reorganize.

2. Categorize items: Sort your belongings into categories, such as school supplies, electronics, snacks, personal items, and clothing. This will enable you to identify what’s essential and what can be removed from your backpack.

3. Weed out unnecessary items: Remove any items that are not absolutely necessary. These can be anything from extra pens and pencils to old receipts or trash.

4. Prioritize items: Make a list of the most important items that you need in your backpack and rank them according to their importance.

5. Create a designated spot for small items: Use small pouches or Ziploc bags to store tiny items like headphones, charging cables, or small stationery items.

6. Use file folders or binders: To organize papers and documents, use file folders or binders to prevent them from getting crumpled or lost in your backpack.

7. Organize writing utensils: Store pens, pencils, markers, and highlighters in a pencil case so they’re easy to find when you need them.

8. Keep textbooks and notebooks upright: Store your books and notebooks upright with the spines facing outwards for easier access throughout the day.

9. Organize with compartments: Utilize the various compartments in your backpack to store frequently accessed items like keys, wallet, mobile phone, and ID cards securely.

10. Allocating space for electronics: Designate a specific area for electronics like laptops or tablets, preferably in a padded compartment for added protection.

11. Pack snacks strategically: Keep snacks in an easily reachable location while ensuring they don’t get crushed by other items in your backpack.

12. Choose a spot for personal items: Designate a specific pocket for personal items like your wallet, keys, and ID card so you can easily find them when needed.

13. Adjust straps and zippers: Make sure the straps on your backpack are adjusted properly to ensure a comfortable fit and prevent strain on your back and shoulders.

14. Maintain organization: Regularly check the contents of your backpack and perform a quick clean-up to ensure your backpack remains organized over time.

By following these 14 steps, you’ll be able to effectively organize your backpack and easily find whatever you need throughout the day. This will not only save you time but reduce stress caused by disorganization.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
