Introduction:

Get ready for a unique and delicious twist on the traditional nachos you know and love! This amazing trash can nachos recipe is perfect for your next party, game night, or casual get-together with friends and family. Trash can nachos are not only fun to make but also packed with layers of mouth-watering flavors. So, let’s dive right into the best trash can nachos recipe you’ll ever try!

Ingredients:

– 1 large bag of tortilla chips

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

– 1lb ground beef or turkey

– 1 packet taco seasoning

– 1 cup diced tomatoes

– 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed

– 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or canned)

– 1/2 cup diced red onion

– 1/2 cup sliced jalapenos (pickled or fresh)

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

– 1 cup sour cream

– 1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo

Instructions:

1. Start by cooking your ground meat in a skillet until browned. Add the taco seasoning and follow the packaging instructions.

2. While the meat is cooking, combine the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses in a bowl and set aside.

3. Now it’s time to assemble your epic trash can nachos! Select a moderately-sized aluminum or metal can with a removable bottom (such as a clean coffee can) and cover the bottom with a small layer of non-stick aluminum foil.

4. Begin layering the ingredients inside your can, starting with a handful of tortilla chips. Follow that up by sprinkling some cheese, spreading some cooked meat, adding black beans, corn kernels, diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos, and a little cilantro.

5. Repeat the layering process until you reach the top of the can, making sure to end with a generous layer of cheese on top.

6. Now, carefully place your can onto a large baking sheet or ovenproof dish. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the nachos for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Once ready, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Afterward, carefully lift the can from the bottom to reveal your beautiful trash can nacho tower!

8. To serve, transfer the nacho tower onto a large platter or cutting board. Top it off with dollops of sour cream, salsa or pico de gallo, and some more fresh cilantro. Dig in and enjoy this incredible trash can nachos masterpiece with your friends and family!

Conclusion:

Trash can nachos are an epic way to present a classic comfort food that will leave your guests in awe and their taste buds satisfied. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your ingredients – try adding diced avocado, roasted red peppers, or even pulled pork for extra flavors! With this best trash can nachos recipe at your fingertips, you’ll be sure to impress everyone at your next gathering. Now go on and create this delicious masterpiece!
