3 Ways to Clean Black Uggs

Keeping your black Uggs looking fresh and clean is essential to maintaining their stylish appearance. Black Uggs, like other Ugg boots, are made from sheepskin and require special care and attention to keep them in tip-top condition. In this article, we’ll discuss three ways to clean black Uggs.

1. Surface Cleaning with a Damp Cloth

For quick and easy surface cleaning of your black Uggs, all you need is a damp cloth. Wet the cloth or sponge with cold water and gently wipe the entire outer surface of the boots. Avoid soaking the sheepskin, as this can damage the material. After wiping down your boots, let them air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause fading or shrinkage.

2. Deep Cleaning with a Sheepskin Cleaner & Conditioner

To tackle dirt and stains on your black Uggs, you should use a product specifically designed for cleaning sheepskin, like UGG Cleaner & Conditioner. Here’s how:

– Moisten the surface of your Uggs with cold water using a sponge or cloth.

– Apply a small amount of sheepskin cleaner on your wet sponge.

– Gently scrub the entire boot in small circular motions, focusing on areas with heavy staining.

– Rinse off the cleaner with another clean, wet sponge or cloth.

– Stuff your boots with paper towels to maintain their shape and allow them to air dry away from sunlight or heat sources.

3. Eraser for Scuff Marks

Scuff marks are common on black Uggs due to their dark color showing more dirt than lighter shades. To remove these marks from your boots, use a suede eraser or a pencil eraser:

– Gently rub the eraser back and forth over the scuff mark until it disappears.

– Avoid using too much pressure on the eraser as this could damage the sheepskin.

– Use a soft-bristled brush to bring up the nap of the suede once the scuff mark is removed.

In conclusion, maintaining your black Uggs’ pristine appearance doesn’t need to be a difficult task. With these three cleaning methods – surface cleaning, deep cleaning, and eraser treatment – you can ensure your boots remain stylish, comfortable, and looking like new. Always remember to handle your Uggs with care and avoid exposing them to excessive moisture or heat sources.
