1. Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help thin out the mucus and reduce congestion.

2. Use a Humidifier: Adding moisture to the air can help alleviate catarrh by moistening nasal passages and helping mucus flow more freely.

3. Steam Inhalation: Inhaling steam from a hot shower or a bowl of boiling water can help relieve sinus congestion and make it easier for you to breathe.

4. Nasal Irrigation: Using a saline solution in a Neti pot or similar device can help flush out mucus and other irritants from your nasal passages.

5. Avoid Irritants: Stay away from cigarette smoke, air pollution, and allergens like dust or pollen that can worsen your catarrh symptoms.

6. Over-the-counter Decongestants: Using OTC decongestants like pseudoephedrine cautiously can provide relief by reducing swelling in the nasal passages, making it easier to breathe.

7. Antihistamines: If allergies are causing your catarrh, taking antihistamines can help lessen symptoms by blocking histamine production in the body.

8. Sleep with Head Elevated: Propping yourself up while you sleep can reduce congestion by allowing mucus to drain from your sinuses more easily.

9. Use a Warm Compress On Your Face: Applying heat to your sinuses can help relieve pain and pressure associated with catarrh.

10. Gargle with Saltwater: Gargling with warm salt water may help soothe a sore throat caused by excess mucus draining down the back of your throat.

11. Incorporate Spicy Foods into Your Diet: Eating spicy foods like chili peppers or horseradish may help break up mucus and clear congestion.

12. Exercise Regularly: Physical activity can promote better circulation, which may help alleviate symptoms of catarrh.

13. Consult a Doctor: If your catarrh is persistent or severe, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. They may be able to recommend prescription medications or other therapies to help you feel better.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
