A delicious and tender London broil is the ideal meal for any occasion, providing a flavorful and satisfying entrée. With its savory blend of spices and juicy texture, it’s no wonder that this dish has become a favorite among home cooks. In this article, we will explore the easiest way to cook London broil in the oven, ensuring a perfect outcome every time.

Ingredients:

– 1.5 to 2 lbs London broil (top round or flank steak)

– ¼ cup olive oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1 teaspoon dried basil

– Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Prepare a large baking tray by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper. This will help with easy clean up after cooking.

2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, oregano, and basil. Season your London broil generously with salt and pepper.

3. Place the seasoned London broil onto the prepared baking tray. Pour the marinade mixture evenly over the meat, making sure all parts are covered well.

4. Allow your London broil to marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help the flavors of the marinade penetrate deeply into the meat.

5. Once marinated, place the baking tray into the preheated oven on the middle rack. Cook your London broil for approximately 25 to 30 minutes for medium-rare doneness (internal temperature should reach around 145°F / 63°C). If you prefer medium doneness, cook it for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches around 160°F / 71°C.

6. Remove the baking tray from the oven and let the London broil rest for about 10 minutes. Resting allows the juices inside the meat to redistribute evenly, ensuring a tender and juicy result.

7. After resting, slice your London broil against the grain into thin and even slices. This will make it easier to chew and more enjoyable to eat.

8. Serve your perfectly cooked London broil with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad. Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make oven-cooked London broil with friends and family!

In conclusion, cooking London broil in the oven is a simple and foolproof method that guarantees a delectable meal. By following these straightforward instructions, you’ll impress your guests with an exquisite dish that’s both satisfying and full of flavor.
