Introduction

Dealing with fractions can sometimes be a hassle, but fortunately, the iPhone calculator makes it simple. In this article, we will guide you through doing fractions using your iPhone calculator with ease.

Step 1: Access iPhone’s Calculator

To start, locate the Calculator app on your iPhone. If you have difficulties finding it, swipe down from the center of your home screen and type “Calculator” in the search bar.

Step 2: Turn Your iPhone to Landscape Mode

The standard calculator app gets more functionality when it turns sideways into landscape mode. To access the fraction functionality, rotate your iPhone to landscape mode. Make sure your device orientation lock is off by swiping down from the upper right corner and checking that the orientation lock icon is not highlighted.

Step 3: Locate the Fraction Button

In landscape mode, you will see many more buttons than before. Look for the fraction button titled with an “a b/c” symbol. This is the button you will use to input fractions.

Step 4: Enter Your Fractions

Now that you’ve located the fraction button, it’s time to enter your fractions. Follow these simple steps:

a) Input the first number (whole number or numerator) of your fraction.

b) Press the “a b/c” button.

c) Enter the second number (denominator) of your fraction.

d) If necessary, use an operator (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division) followed by another fraction input using steps a-c.

Step 5: Calculate Your Result

Once you’ve entered both fractions and chosen any desired operators, press the “=” button to calculate your result. The calculator will show your answer as a decimal value by default.

Step 6 (Optional): Convert Decimal to Fraction

If you want your result as a fraction instead of a decimal, press the “a b/c” button after calculating your result. This will convert the decimal value to the nearest fraction.

Conclusion

Now you know how easy it is to do fractions on your iPhone calculator. With this step-by-step guide, you can handle any fraction-based problem using your iPhone. Don’t forget to keep practicing to become a fraction expert!
