When shopping for a mid-size crossover or SUV, one of the most important factors to consider is cargo capacity. Whether you’re planning family vacations or need room for sports gear, a spacious vehicle can make all the difference. In this article, we’ll rank some popular mid-size crossovers and SUVs based on their cargo capacity.

1. Honda Passport: Topping our list is the Honda Passport with a whopping 50.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and 100.7 cubic feet with rear seats folded.

2. Chevrolet Blazer: With its stylish design and ample storage room, the Chevrolet Blazer offers an impressive 30.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 64.2 cubic feet with rear seats folded.

3. Ford Edge: The Ford Edge boasts a spacious interior featuring 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and up to 73.4 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down.

4. Hyundai Santa Fe: This well-rounded SUV comes with a generous cargo area, providing 36.4 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 71.3 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats down.

5. Jeep Grand Cherokee: The popular Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a sizeable cargo area with 36.3 cubic feet of storage behind the second row and up to 68.3 cubic feet with rear seats folded.

6. Nissan Murano: Balancing style and space, the Nissan Murano provides you with 32.1 cubic feet of cargo room behind its second-row seats and up to 67 cubic feet when they’re folded down.

7. Kia Sorento: This versatile crossover SUV offers an attractive option for families seeking ample storage, boasting 38.4 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 73 cubic feet when you fold down the third row.

8. Toyota Highlander: With seating for up to eight, the Toyota Highlander features 16 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 48.4 cubic feet behind the second row, and a maximum of 84.3 cubic feet with all rear seats folded down.

9. Mazda CX-9: While it may not be as large as some competitors, the Mazda CX-9 still offers a decent amount of cargo capacity with 14.4 cubic feet behind the third row, 38.2 cubic feet behind the second row, and up to 71.2 cubic feet when all rear seats are folded.

10. Subaru Ascent: Rounding out our list is the Subaru Ascent, which provides 17.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third-row seating, 47.5 cubic feet with the third row folded down, and a total of 86.5 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.

In conclusion, when choosing a mid-size crossover or SUV based on cargo capacity, it’s crucial to prioritize versatility and space to accommodate your needs. The vehicles listed above offer impressive storage options and can easily handle different cargo requirements depending on your lifestyle demands.
