The 2024 Ford Maverick has made substantial waves in the market with its impressive features, versatility, and affordability. Among those features is its competitive towing capacity, making it an ideal choice for drivers who require both practicality and power. In this article, we will delve into the 2024 Ford Maverick’s towing capacity and explore the various configurations available to consumers.

Towing Capacity

Ford has ensured that the 2024 Maverick provides excellent towing capabilities to suit various needs. The standard front-wheel-drive configuration comes equipped with a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine, which can tow up to 2,000 pounds. This capacity is more than adequate for small trailers, personal watercraft or motorcycles, and other light towing applications.

For drivers requiring additional power, the available all-wheel-drive model boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine. This option increases the Maverick’s towing capacity to an impressive 4,000 pounds when properly equipped with the optional towing package. With this set-up, users can easily tow recreational boats, larger trailers, or even small campers.

Payload Capacity

Apart from the towing capacity, the 2024 Ford Maverick also offers an impressive payload capacity of up to 1,500 pounds for both FWD and AWD models. This diverse range suits various user applications such as carrying construction materials or handling weekend outdoor adventures efficiently.

Configurations

The 2024 Ford Maverick is available in three primary trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. Regardless of the trim level chosen, customers can opt for either the base FWD with a hybrid powertrain or upgrade to the more robust AWD model with a turbocharged EcoBoost engine.

The XL serves as an entry-level model but still provides ample features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a rearview camera, and Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite for added safety and convenience.

The XLT is an intermediary model and offers an improved user experience with upgraded cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and additional storage solutions such as lockable cubbies in the bed. Ford also offers an FX4 off-road package for the XLT and Lariat trims, significantly enhancing their off-roading capabilities.

The top-tier Lariat trim delivers a premium feel with its leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, and ambient lighting. Furthermore, technological enhancements comprise of Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system with a larger touchscreen display.

In conclusion, the 2024 Ford Maverick offers a versatile towing capacity and a range of configurations to cater to various needs and budgets while excelling in performance and practicality. If you are on the hunt for a compact pickup truck that delivers power alongside modern amenities, the 2024 Maverick might just be your first choice.
