The luxury SUV market is getting more competitive every year, and no automaker knows that better than Mercedes-Benz. That’s why the German manufacturer is taking its flagship SUV, the GLS, and giving it a thorough refresh for the 2024 model year. Equipped with a new face and cutting-edge features, this updated juggernaut aims to dominate the competition.

A Bold New Look

The exterior of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS has undergone extensive redesigning in an attempt to create a more modern and captivating visual appeal. One of the most striking changes is the revamped front fascia, which now sports a sleeker grille flanked by new, sharper LED headlamps. These lend it a more aggressive aura while retaining its unmistakable DNA.

The side profile and rear end have also been reworked, boasting cleaner lines and added sophistication. New wheel designs improve both aesthetics and aerodynamics, while redesigned tail lights effortlessly meld into the revamped rear bumper.

Upscale Interior with Enhanced Comfort

On stepping inside the 2024 GLS, occupants are welcomed by an array of premium materials and state-of-the-art technology. The seats feature plush Nappa leather, offering improved comfort on long road trips or daily commutes. A new ambient lighting system elevates the cabin atmosphere with a choice of 64 different colors and customizable zones.

As expected from this segment-leading manufacturer, the 2024 GLS houses an advanced infotainment system anchored on two large high-definition displays that seamlessly merge together. The latest iteration of MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) provides drivers with unparalleled connectivity and access to essential vehicle functions.

Safety and Performance Upgrades

Mercedes-Benz is synonymous with safety, so it comes as no surprise that the updated GLS boasts cutting-edge driver assistance features. Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function comes standard, helping to prevent collisions with both pedestrians and vehicles. Additionally, innovations like an updated Active Lane Keeping Assist and an optional Augmented Reality head-up display are meant to keep drivers confidently in control.

Under the hood, performance enhancements include a range of engines designed to satisfy varying power needs, from a turbocharged six-cylinder mill to a plug-in hybrid configuration. The GLS will continue to offer its signature air suspension system, providing an unmatched balance of comfort and agility on the road.

The refreshed 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS will likely turn heads and elevate the bar for luxury SUVs with its blend of modern design, performance upgrades, and state-of-the-art technology. With its striking new face and impressive feature list, it’s poised to become the envy of competitors while at the same time, winning hearts of luxury SUV enthusiasts worldwide.
