Xbox Series X Restock Tracker: Walmart Has Stock, But There’s A Catch

As the global chip shortage continues to hinder production of gaming consoles like the Xbox Series X, frantic consumers have been seeking out reliable restock trackers to help them secure this in-demand item. Look no further, as we’ve got an update on the restock front from major retailer Walmart. While there’s good news that Walmart has stock available, there’s a catch you need to be aware of.

The Catch: Walmart+ Membership Needed for Purchase

The key point to note is that Walmart is making its Xbox Series X stock available exclusively to Walmart+ members. If you’re not already a member, you’ll need to sign up and pay the $98 annual or $12.95 monthly fee to gain access to their Xbox Series X inventory.

Walmart has taken this step as a means of encouraging more shoppers to join their subscription-based service, effectively creating a paywall between gamers and the sought-after console. It’s an opportune tactic for the retailer in light of the ongoing challenges surrounding console availability.

The Benefits of Becoming a Walmart+ Member

If you’re considering signing up for Walmart+ in order to try your luck at purchasing an Xbox Series X from their limited stock, know that Walmart+ does come with other perks as well. Some benefits include free shipping with no order minimums for eligible items, free grocery deliveries on orders over $35 (with certain restrictions), discounts on fuel at participating stations, and early access to various deals and promotions.

Is it Worth Signing Up for Walmart+?

Before you commit to becoming a member of Walmart+, weigh the pros and cons against your personal situation and what you value more – potential discounts on everyday items or the ability to access exclusive restocks such as the Xbox Series X.

As always, it’s important to be diligent when searching for stock updates on-demand products like gaming consoles. Keep an eye on other online forums, as well as social media platforms or official announcements from Microsoft for the most up-to-date information.

Walmart’s restocking of Xbox Series X for Walmart+ members is an opportunity for some consumers to finally get their hands on the coveted console, despite the inherent catch. For those who are already Walmart+ members or find value in the overall benefits offered by the subscription service, this could be a golden chance to score an Xbox Series X. Be sure to act fast, as stocks are not expected to last long!
