The Samsung Galaxy S8 was released in 2017 and was praised for its sleek design, powerful performance, and long battery life. However, as with any phone, the battery life of the Galaxy S8 will degrade over time. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at why this happens and what you can do to extend the life of your phone’s battery.

Why Battery Life Degrades Over Time

All rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan and will eventually degrade over time. This is due to a number of factors, including the number of charge cycles, exposure to high temperatures, and natural chemical reactions that occur within the battery itself. As a result, your Galaxy S8 may not last as long on a single charge as it did when you first bought it.

How to Extend Your Phone’s Battery Life

While you can’t completely prevent your phone’s battery from degrading over time, there are several things you can do to extend its lifespan:

1. Avoid exposing your phone to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).

2. Use a high-quality charger and cable that are designed for your phone.

3. Avoid letting your phone’s battery drain completely before charging it.

4. Turn off features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you’re not using them.

5. Reduce the brightness of your phone’s screen or use automatic brightness settings.

6. Close apps that are running in the background when you’re not using them.

7. Consider replacing your phone’s battery if it’s no longer holding a charge as well as it used to.

Conclusion

While the Samsung Galaxy S8 was known for its long battery life when it was first released, don’t expect it to have the same battery life several years later. All rechargeable batteries degrade over time, and there are several factors that can contribute to this. However, by following the tips outlined in this article, you can extend the life of your phone’s battery and get the most out of your Galaxy S8 for as long as possible.
