The era of electric pickup trucks is upon us. With big players like Ford, Tesla, Rivian, GMC, and Chevy stepping into the market, the competition is heating up. In this article, we will compare the specs of the Ford F-150 Lightning, Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV, and the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV to help you determine which electric truck is the best fit for you.

1. Ford F-150 Lightning

– Range: 230 miles (standard range) / 300 miles (extended range)

– 0-60 mph: Mid 4-second range

– Towing capacity: Up to 10,000 lbs

3. Rivian R1T

– Range: Over 300 miles (standard battery) / Up to 400 miles (max pack battery)

– 0-60 mph: 3 seconds

– Towing capacity: Up to 11,000 lbs

– Payload capacity: Up to 1,760 lbs

– Charging: Up to 200 kW DC fast charging / up to 300 kW fast charging (future)

– Price: Starting at $67,500 (base model)

4. GMC Hummer EV

– Range: Approximately 350 miles (Edition 1)

– 0-60 mph: About 3 seconds (Watts to Freedom – Edition 1)

– Towing capacity: TBA

– Payload capacity: TBA

– Charging: Up to 350 kW DC fast charging

– Price: Starting at $79,995 (base model – available in Spring 2024) / $112,595 (Edition 1 – available in Fall 2021)

5. Chevy Silverado EV

The Chevy Silverado EV is announced but still under development. Details on range, performance, towing and payload capacities, and pricing are yet to be released.

Conclusion:

Each of these electric pickup trucks offers unique features and capabilities. The Ford F-150 Lightning is a reliable choice for those who prioritize the familiarity of the classic F-series truck with respectable range and capabilities.
