Steam is one of the biggest PC gaming platforms around, allowing players to access thousands of games from developers worldwide. It is so easy and simple to buy a game on Steam, but it doesn’t end there. To play the game, you will need to redeem the game key you get after buying the game. Redeeming a game key on Steam is actually very easy, and it ensures that you can start playing your game in no time.

These are steps you need to follow to redeem your game key on Steam:

Step 1: Firstly, you will have to download the Steam launcher and install it onto your device. Go to the Steam website, and download the platform installer, it’s free and safe.

Step 2: Once you have installed Steam, you can login with your Steam account or create one easily. If you don’t have a Steam account, you will have to create one. Creating a Steam account is entirely free and easy to do.

Step 3: After logging in or creating an account, you will be taken to the Steam homepage. Look at the top menu and click on the “Games” option.

Step 4: Choose the “Activate a Product” option located under the games menu. This will open up a page where you can activate your game key.

Step 5: Enter your game key properly in the space provided. Make sure your key is correct, and if the key is correct, it will be accepted. Select “Next” and follow the instructions to complete the activation process.

Step 6: After activating your game key, Steam systems will verify your key, and your game will start to download automatically.

Step 7: And when the installation of your game is complete, you will see the game icon in your Steam library. You can then click on it to play.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
