Netflix has long been a trove of quality crime movies, where audiences can indulge in tales of mystery, suspense, and intrigue from the comfort of their homes. From classic heists to psychological thrillers, the streaming service has something to satisfy every crime film aficionado. Here are the 7 best crime movies currently available on Netflix:

1.The Irishman (2019) – Directed by Martin Scorsese, this epic saga of organized crime in post-war America is told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century.

2.Nightcrawler (2014) – A thriller that follows Lou Bloom, an ambitious young man desperate for work who discovers the high-speed world of L.A. crime journalism. As Lou blurs the line between observer and participant, he becomes embroiled in a realm of dirty morality.

3.Uncut Gems (2019) – Featuring Adam Sandler in a critically-acclaimed performance, Uncut Gems is a frenetic ride into the life of a charismatic New York City jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score.

4.Mindhunter (2017-2019)- While technically a TV series, Mindhunter deserves mention for its deep dive into the early days of criminal profiling and psychology at the FBI, as agents attempt to catch serial killers by understanding their damaged psyches

5.The Departed (2006)- Another Scorsese masterpiece, this film delves into the lives of two men on opposite sides of the law—one an undercover cop and the other a mole in the police department—as they try to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in Boston.

6.Zodiac (2007) – Directed by David Fincher, Zodiac chronicles the manhunt for the Zodiac Killer, a serial murderer who terrorized Northern California during the late 1960s and early ’70s.

7.El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019) – A continuation of Vince Gilligan’s successful series Breaking Bad, El Camino follows Jesse Pinkman as he runs from his captors, law enforcement, and his past.

These films showcase some of cinema’s finest storytelling within the crime genre and promise viewers immersive narratives that’ll grip them until the very end.
