As inconspicuous as it might seem, the flashlight feature on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone is a significant tool that you might find yourself utilizing more often than you’d think. From finding your way in the dark, to signaling for help, or simply looking for your lost keys under the couch, a flashlight can come in handy in a variety of situations. For Galaxy users, here are six useful tips to make the most out of your device’s flashlight:

1.Quick Access through Quick Panel: For speedy flashlight activation, swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Quick Panel. Find the flashlight icon and tap it to turn on the light immediately.

2.Adjust Brightness Levels: Did you know that you can adjust the intensity of your Galaxy’s flashlight? Some models allow brightness adjustment. Simply tap on the text “Flashlight” under the icon in the Quick Panel and adjust the slider from level one to five according to your needs.

3.Use Bixby for Hands-Free Control: If your hands are full or dirty, and touching your phone isn’t ideal, use Bixby voice commands to manage your flashlight. A simple “Hi Bixby, turn on the flashlight” or “Hi Bixby, turn off the flashlight” will do just fine.

4.Add Flashlight as a Lock Screen Shortcut: To avoid going through multiple steps to access it, add a flashlight shortcut right on your lock screen via Settings. Go into ‘Lock screen,’ ‘Shortcuts,’ then choose ‘Flashlight’ for easy access even when your screen is locked.

5.Flash Notification Feature: Under ‘Accessibility’ settings turn on ‘Flash notification’. It will flash your camera light or screen when you receive a notification – handy if you’re in a noisy environment or when your phone is on silent.

6.Third-Party Flashlight Apps: If you want additional functionality like a strobe/light morse feature or different light colors, consider installing third-party apps specifically designed for enhanced lighting control.

Leveraging these simple tips can transform how you use this basic feature on your Samsung Galaxy phone, improving its utility and convenience.
