5 Ways to Wear High Heels (for Men)

In recent years, fashion has become more inclusive and gender-fluid. High heels, historically worn by men in the 17th century, are making a comeback in men’s fashion. Here are five fabulous ways for men to wear high heels and make a bold statement.

1. Heels with Jeans

One of the simplest ways for a man to pull off high heels is to pair them with jeans. For an edgy look, opt for distressed or ripped jeans. Stiletto or block heel ankle boots will give an added height and oomph to your outfit. Complete the ensemble with a graphic tee layered over with a jacket or blazer for a chic, casual look.

2. Heels and Trousers

A great way to incorporate high heels into your work wardrobe is by pairing them with tailored trousers or chinos. Select a tapered cut that ends right above your shoes, allowing them to take center stage. Opt for classic black or brown pumps or loafers with block heels for a refined style that can make an impression while maintaining professionalism.

3. Monochromatic with Heels

Dressing monochromatically is both elegant and visually elongating – perfect for rocking high heels. Choose an all-black outfit and throw on some ankle strap pumps or suede booties. The head-to-toe uniform color will create a long line that will make you appear taller and seamlessly blend your heels into the ensemble.

4. Adding Edge with Boots

If you’re looking for something trendy and bold, consider pairing lace-up heeled boots with your favorite skinny trousers or leather pants. This rocker-inspired look is excellent for nights out, concerts, or making heads turn wherever you go. Finish the look with a leather jacket or oversized sweater for maximum impact.

5. Suit Up

Take your formal attire up a notch by wearing high heels with your suit. For this stylish statement, select low-key, elegant heels – think classic pumps or an understated loafer with a block heel. To keep the focus on your outfit, choose shoes in a similar shade as your suit.

In conclusion, there is no reason for men to shy away from wearing high heels. By starting with these five suggestions, you can build confidence and explore numerous stylish options. Embrace the creativity that comes with fashion and make a statement with your high-heeled looks!
