Google Meet is a user-friendly video conferencing platform that’s gained immense popularity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of its key features is the ability to create meeting links for participants to join group calls. In this article, we’ll discuss five methods to create a Google Meet link.

1. Google Meet website:

The easiest way to create a Google Meet link is through the official website:

– Visit meet.google.com

– Sign in with your Google account

– Click on “New Meeting”

– Choose one of the options: “Get a meeting link to share,” “Start an instant meeting,” or “Schedule in Google Calendar”

– If you choose ‘Get a meeting link to share,’ a unique link will be generated that you can copy and share with participants.

2. Google Calendar:

You can also generate a Google Meet link when creating an event in Google Calendar:

– Open calendar.google.com

– Sign in with your Google account

– Click on the ‘+’ button or click on any time slot to create a new event

– After entering event details, click on “Add Google Meet video conferencing”

– Save the event, and the calendar invite will include the Google Meet link for attendees.

3. Gmail:

For Gmail users, creating a Google Meet link can be done directly from your inbox:

– Open mail.google.com

– Sign in with your Google account

– On the left side of the screen, click on ‘Meet’

– Choose ‘Start a meeting’ or ‘Join a meeting’

– If you pick ‘Start a meeting’, you’ll get an option to share a meeting code or invite others via email.

4. Google Classroom:

In educational settings, teachers can create Google Meet links through Google Classroom:

– Open classroom.google.com

– Sign in with your educational account

– Choose one of your classrooms and click on the gear icon in the upper right to access settings

– Scroll down to the ‘General’ section, where you’ll find the ‘Meet’ settings

– Click on ‘Generate Meet link,’ and a unique meeting link will be generated for the class.

5. Google Meet Mobile App:

Creating a Google Meet link is also possible via the mobile app:

– Download the Google Meet app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)

– Sign in with your Google account

– Tap on ‘New Meeting’

– Choose one of the available options such as “Get a meeting link to share,” “Start an instant meeting,” or “Schedule in Google Calendar.”

– Share the generated link with participants.

Conclusion:

With these five methods, setting up a Google Meet link is efficient and straightforward. Whether you’re working, studying, or simply connecting with friends and family, these options ensure you can organize virtual meetings with ease.
