5 Ways to Completely Customize a Tech Deck

Customizing a Tech Deck is a great way to express your personality and creativity. A personalized Tech Deck not only looks great, but can also improve your fingerboarding skills. Here are 5 ways to completely customize your Tech Deck:

1. Change the deck graphics

One of the easiest ways to change the appearance of your Tech Deck is by changing its graphics. You can either buy a pre-designed graphic from a company or create your own design using tools like Photoshop or GIMP. Once you have the desired design, simply print it out on adhesive paper, carefully cut it to size, and stick it on your deck.

2. Swap or upgrade parts

Upgrading components like trucks, wheels, and bearings can greatly improve the performance of your Tech Deck and make it feel like a brand new toy. There are many third-party providers that sell upgrade parts specifically for Tech Decks. Try different combinations of trucks, wheels, and bearings until you find the setup that suits your style best.

3. Apply grip tape

Grip tape helps make sure your fingers stay in constant contact with the deck during tricks. You can purchase ready-made grip tape designed for Tech Decks or create one yourself using a sheet of fine-grit sandpaper and cutting it down to size for a DIY solution. Experiment with different patterns and colors for added flair.

4. Create custom stickers

Adding stickers to your Tech Deck is another brilliant way to personalize it. You can either purchase pre-made stickers or design your own using graphic software tools and printing them on sticker paper. Keep an eye out for interesting shapes, patterns, logos, or images related to fingerboarding culture for inspiration.

5. Modify the shape of your deck

If you’re feeling ambitious and have some woodworking skills, why not try altering the shape of your deck? With some sandpaper and patience, you can reshape the nose, tail, or create unique concave patterns on your deck. Always remember to sand your deck gently and evenly to avoid damaging it.

With these 5 customizations, you can easily turn your Tech Deck into a one-of-a-kind futuristic fingerboard that reflects your unique personality and style. So, go ahead, and make your Tech Deck as awesome as your fingerboarding skills!
