The Block, Australia’s reality TV series about home renovation, has witnessed a parade of astonishing bathroom transformations throughout its seasons. These spaces, once drab and functional, have been reimagined by contestants into luxurious retreats that marry form and function with panache. Here are five of the best bathrooms ever seen on The Block:

1. Josh & Elyse’s Winning Bathroom in Elsternwick (2017)

This couple’s contemporary yet timeless bathroom wowed the judges and won them a perfect score. Featuring a freestanding tub, floor-to-ceiling tiles, and elegant tapware, the space was accentuated with greenery and natural light, creating a serene spa-like environment.

2. Kerrie & Spence’s Monochrome Magic in The Gatwick (2018)

With their sophisticated black taps against stark white herringbone tiles, this duo took monochrome to a new level. Their high-tech inclusions like underfloor heating and a voice-activated shower exemplify how technology can elevate a conventional bathroom to one of opulent comfort.

3. Alisa & Lysandra’s Industrial Vibe in Albert Park (2013)

Twin sisters Alisa and Lysandra delivered an ultra-modern bathroom with a distressed timber feature wall and bold black fittings that set off against white subway tiles. This industrial-themed sanctuary stood out for its edgy aesthetic yet remained welcoming and warm.

4. Darren & Deanne’s Elegant Ensuite in South Yarra (2015)

With an impressive double shower, statement lighting over the vanity, and striking marble herringbone tiles throughout, Darren & Deanne’s ensuite was the epitome of sophistication. The clever layout allowed for an open yet discreet toilet area, striking the right balance between openness and privacy.

5. Ronnie & Georgia’s Luxurious Minimalism in Elsternwick (2017)

Known for their style and finesse, Ronnie & Georgia produced a minimalist bathroom where simplicity reigns supreme. Sleek lines frame each element from the discreet cabinetry to the frameless shower screens, while a generous double vanity offers practical elegance.

Each of these bathrooms represents The Block’s standards of creativity, innovation, and luxury—setting trends in design while focusing on functionality. They are not just rooms but experiences that have encouraged viewers to dream big when it comes to their own home renovations.
