Pinwheel sandwiches are a fun and creative way to jazz up your everyday sandwich routine. These delightful spirals of goodness not only look appealing, but they also have a unique taste with each bite. Here are four different ways to make pinwheel sandwiches that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences.

1. Classic Turkey and Cheese Pinwheels

Ingredients:

– 8 slices whole-grain bread

– 8 slices turkey breast

– 8 slices cheddar cheese

– 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

– 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded

Instructions:

1. Lay out the slices of bread and apply a thin layer of mayonnaise on each slice.

2. Place a slice of turkey and cheese on top of each slice of bread.

3. Sprinkle shredded lettuce evenly over the turkey and cheese layer.

4. Roll up each slice tightly and secure it with a toothpick or wrap it in plastic wrap.

5. Refrigerate for 15 minutes before cutting into half-inch thick pinwheels.

2. Veggie Delight Pinwheels

Ingredients:

– 8 slices multigrain bread

– 1 cup hummus

– 1/2 cup carrot, julienned

– 1/2 cup bell pepper, thinly sliced

– 1/4 cup red onion, finely sliced

Instructions:

1. Spread a generous layer of hummus on each slice of bread.

2. Arrange cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, and red onion evenly on the hummus layer.

3. Roll up the slices tightly and secure them with toothpicks or wrap them in plastic wrap.

4. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before cutting into half-inch thick pinwheels.

3. Mediterranean Pinwheels

Ingredients:

– 8 slices whole wheat flatbread

– 1 cup tzatziki sauce

– 8 slices ham or prosciutto

– 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped

– 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

– 1/2 cup spinach leaves, chopped

Instructions:

1. Spread a layer of tzatziki sauce on each flatbread slice.

2. Place a slice of ham or prosciutto onto each flatbread.

3. Sprinkle Kalamata olives, feta cheese, and chopped spinach evenly over the layers.

4. Roll up the sandwiches tightly and secure them with toothpicks or wrap them in plastic wrap.

5. Refrigerate for around 15 minutes before cutting into half-inch thick pinwheels.

4. Peanut Butter and Fruit Pinwheels

Ingredients:

– 8 slices whole-grain bread

– 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter

– 1/3 cup honey

– 8 large strawberries, thinly sliced

– 2 bananas, thinly sliced

Instructions:

1. Mix peanut butter (or almond butter) and honey in a small bowl until smooth.

2. Spread the mixture generously onto each slice of bread.

3. Arrange strawberry and banana slices evenly over the peanut butter layer.

4. Roll up each slice snugly and secure it with toothpicks or wrap it in plastic wrap.
