Introduction

Stand-to-pee (StP) devices are innovative and practical tools that allow anyone, regardless of their biological gender, to urinate standing up. These devices are especially popular among transgender men and gender non-conforming individuals. However, anyone who wants the convenience of urinating while standing up can use them. In this article, we will explore four easy ways to create your own StP device at home using simple materials.

1. The Medicine Spoon or NoSpill Cup Method

Materials:

– Medicine spoon or NoSpill cup with a shorter handle

– Scissors

– Optional: duct tape

Instructions:

1. If using a medicine spoon, cut off the handle so that only the bowl remains.

2. Position the bowl against your body so that it covers the urine stream exit point.

3. For added security, consider attaching duct tape around the edges of the bowl to create a better seal against your body.

2. The Water Bottle Method

Materials:

– Small plastic water bottle

– Scissors

– Marker

Instructions:

1. Clean and dry the water bottle thoroughly.

2. Mark on the bottle where you want to cut an opening for urine passage.

3. Use scissors to cut out this opening and slightly widen it for smooth flow passage.

4. Position the cut-out part against your body so that it covers the urine stream exit point.

3. The Funnel Method

Materials:

– Disposable plastic funnel

– Scissors

– Optional: duct tape or elastic band

Instructions:

1. If necessary, trim down the funnel’s spout so that it will fit comfortably between your legs.

2. Position the wider end of the funnel against your body, covering the urine stream exit point.

3. To ensure a secure fit, you can use duct tape around the edge of the funnel or use an elastic band to hold it in place.

4. The Silicone StP Device Method

Materials:

– Food-grade silicone

– Disposable plastic cup or bowl

– Spatula or spoon

– StP device mold (can be purchased online)

Instructions:

1. Mix the silicone according to package instructions.

2. Pour the silicone mixture into the StP device mold.

3. Use a spatula, spoon, or any other appropriate tool, to make sure the mold is filled smoothly and evenly.

4. Allow the silicone to cure according to package specifications.

5. Once cured, remove from mold and test for comfort, fit, and functionality.

Conclusion

Creating your own StP device can be both cost-effective and empowering. With these four easy methods, you can make a convenient and discreet device that suits your specific needs. Remember always to practice good hygiene by cleaning your StP device thoroughly after each use to avoid any unpleasant odors or potential infections. Happy standing!
