The arrival of fall marks the beginning of pumpkin spice season, where everything from candles to coffee gets a warm, cozy upgrade. A favorite among many is the delectable pumpkin spice latte. This popular beverage can easily be made at home using one of these four methods to suit your tastes and preferences.

1. Traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

– 2 cups milk (whole or any alternative)

– 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree

– 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– 1 cup hot strong brewed coffee

– Whipped cream and cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

Combine milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a small saucepan. Heat on medium-low while stirring until well combined and steaming (not boiling). Pour the hot strong coffee and milk mixture into two mugs, then top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

2. Homemade Cold Brew Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

– 1 cup cold brew coffee concentrate

– 1/2 cup milk (whole or any alternative)

– 3 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree

– 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

– 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– Ice

Instructions:

In a shaker bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid, add the cold brew concentrate, milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup/honey, and pumpkin pie spice. Shake vigorously until well combined. Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over it. Serve immediately.

3. Dairy-Free Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

– 2 cups almond milk (or any other dairy-free milk)

– 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree

– 2 tablespoons maple syrup

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– 1 cup hot strong brewed coffee

Instructions:

Follow the process described in the traditional pumpkin spice latte recipe, replacing the milk with almond milk and sugar with maple syrup. Serve in mugs and top with dairy-free whipped topping if desired.

4. Keto Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

– 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any other low-carb milk)

– 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree

– 2 tablespoons erythritol or your preferred keto sweetener

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

– 1 cup hot strong brewed coffee

Instructions:

Combine almond milk, pumpkin puree, erythritol, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a small saucepan. Heat on medium-low while stirring until well combined and steaming (not boiling). Pour the hot strong coffee and milk mixture into two mugs, then top with keto-friendly whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

With these four variations, you can enjoy a perfect pumpkin spice latte at home depending on your taste preferences or dietary requirements. So go ahead, sip your seasonal beverage—and maybe even pair it with a delicious slice of pumpkin bread for an ultimate autumn treat!
