3 Ways to Use Coupons

In today’s economy, everyone is looking for ways to save money on their purchases. One of the most effective tools we have for saving money is coupons. Whether they’re digital, paper, or online, coupons offer customers discounts or special offers on all sorts of products and services. In this article, we’ll explore three ways to use coupons so that you can take advantage of the savings they provide.

1. Use Coupon-matching Websites & Apps

Coupon matching websites and apps can help you find the best deals on products and services you buy regularly. These platforms compile the latest coupon offers from various sources and match them with items listed in your local store’s weekly ad. Some popular coupon-matching apps are Honey, Rakuten (previously known as Ebates), and Ibotta.

Once you’ve made a purchase using one of these platforms, they also reward users with cashback for scanning their receipts or shopping through their website. By utilizing these apps and websites, not only are you locating exclusive deals with coupons but also receiving additional cashback on your purchases.

2. Strategically Combine Coupons & Store Sales

Maximizing your savings involves more than just clipping coupons and redeeming them at checkout. To get the best bang for your buck, look for opportunities to combine store sales with manufacturer coupons or store-specific discount codes. This is called stacking, and it can reduce prices significantly or occasionally result in getting items for free.

It’s essential to read the fine print on both store ads and coupons to ensure they’re compatible – some retailers may limit the number of coupons you can use per item or prevent combining certain deals. However, when done correctly, strategic stacking could end up saving you 50-90% on your purchase.

3. Utilize Loyalty Programs & Keep Coupons Organized

Many stores offer loyalty programs that track your spending and reward you with points or discounts, allowing you to accumulate special deals and timely offers. Make sure to sign up for your favorite store’s loyalty program and watch your mailbox or inbox for exclusive members-only coupons and sale flyers.

Keep all your coupons organized, whether using an expandable file, binder, or digital storage, so that finding the right one at the right time is as easy as possible. By setting up a proper organization system for your coupons, combined with a well-timed visit to the store, you’ll be prepared to save big on your purchases.

In conclusion, by using coupon-matching websites & apps, strategically combining coupons with sales, and taking advantage of loyalty programs while keeping your offers organized, you can maximize the benefits of using coupons and enjoy significant savings on everyday purchases. So start clipping (or clicking) and watch your savings grow!
