3 Ways to Use Coffee Grounds as a Body Scrub

Coffee isn’t just a delicious morning pick-me-up; it’s also a fantastic natural exfoliator! If you have some used coffee grounds, don’t throw them away just yet. Instead, try these three DIY coffee body scrub recipes to rejuvenate and nourish your skin.

1. Basic Coffee Grounds Body Scrub

Ingredients:

– 1 cup used coffee grounds

– 1/2 cup coconut oil or olive oil

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the used coffee grounds and granulated sugar.

2. Gradually add the coconut oil (or olive oil) to the coffee mixture until you reach your desired consistency. Mix well until all ingredients are combined evenly.

3. Transfer the scrub mixture into an air-tight container.

4. To use, gently massage the coffee scrub on damp skin in circular motions for a few minutes and rinse off with warm water.

2. Coffee and Honey Body Scrub

Ingredients:

– 1 cup used coffee grounds

– 1/4 cup honey

– 1/2 cup coconut oil

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the used coffee grounds and brown sugar.

2. Add honey and coconut oil to the mixture, ensuring that all ingredients are evenly distributed.

3. Pour the scrub into an air-tight container for storage.

4. To use, apply the scrub on damp skin and massage gently in circular motions before rinsing off with warm water.

3. Coffee and Vanilla Body Scrub

Ingredients:

– 1 cup used coffee grounds

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup almond oil or grapeseed oil

– 10 drops of vanilla essential oil or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. In a medium bowl, mix the used coffee grounds with granulated sugar.

2. Slowly add the almond oil (or grapeseed oil) and vanilla essential oil (or extract) to the mixture and stir until everything is evenly combined.

3. Store the scrub in an air-tight container.

4. To use, massage the scrub on damp skin using circular motions before rinsing off with warm water.
