Introduction:

Candlelit dinners, cozy ambience, and scented candles can make any room feel warm and inviting. However, the residue left by melted wax on your glass table tops can be unsightly and frustrating. But worry not! With these three simple methods, you can easily get rid of the wax and give your glass table tops a crystal-clear finish.

1. Freeze and Scrape:

The first method involves freezing the wax, making it easier to break off and remove. Here’s how:

a) Fill a plastic bag with ice cubes or use a pack of frozen peas.

b) Place the ice-filled bag over the wax on the glass table top.

c) Wait for approximately ten minutes until the wax hardens.

d) Gently scrape off the frozen wax using a plastic scraper or a credit card, taking care not to scratch the glass surface.

e) Wipe down the table with a damp cloth to remove any remaining bits of wax.

2. Heat and Wipe:

Another effective method is to heat the wax until it melts so that it can be easily wiped away. Here’s what you need to do:

a) Prepare a hairdryer or a heat gun.

b) Set the hairdryer or heat gun on its lowest setting.

c) Direct the warm air onto the wax for about 30 seconds or until it begins to melt.

d) Quickly wipe up the melted wax with a dry, clean cloth or paper towel before it solidifies again.

e) Clean down the glass table top with a glass cleaner and soft cloth for a streak-free finish.

3. Use Vinegar Solution:

For those who prefer natural cleaning solutions, here’s how you can use vinegar to remove candle wax from your glass table tops:

a) Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.

b) Generously spray the wax-stained area with the vinegar solution.

c) Let the solution sit for a few minutes to allow it to break down the wax.

d) Gently scrub the softened wax with a soft sponge or cloth, taking care not to damage the glass surface.

e) Wipe down the table with a damp cloth to remove any residue and finish up with a glass cleaner and soft cloth for a sparkling finish.

Conclusion:

Removing wax from your glass table top doesn’t have to be a hassle. These three methods will efficiently take care of your wax problem, so you can resume enjoying your candles without worrying about any residue. Remember to be gentle with the glass surface while removing the wax and always use non-abrasive tools to prevent scratches. With these tips in hand, your glass table tops are sure to remain as beautiful as ever.
