Introduction:

Putting on boots may seem like a simple task, still, it can sometimes be challenging especially when you’re in a hurry or dealing with particularly tight-fitting boots. In this article, we will discuss three ways to put your boots on comfortably and easily that will save your time. So let’s dive into these methods!

1.The Traditional Method: Using Your Hands

The most common way to put on boots is by using your hands. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Before you begin, make sure your socks are pulled up properly and smoothly around your feet to prevent any discomfort.

Step 2: Sit down in a comfortable position with your boots nearby.

Step 3: Grasp the top of one boot with both hands, placing one hand on each side of the opening.

Step 4: Lower your foot into the boot while using your hands to stretch open the sides of the boot, making room for your foot.

Step 5: Push your foot down into the boot, heel first, making sure it’s securely seated before sliding in the rest of your foot.

Step 6: Give it a wiggle to ensure that it’s situated well and comfortable before pulling up the zipper or fastening laces if necessary.

2.Using a Boot Jack

A boot jack is an excellent tool for people who frequently wear tight or tall boots. It provides additional leverage that makes putting on boots easier. Here’s how to use a boot jack:

Step 1: Place the boot jack on the floor next to where you’re sitting or standing.

Step 2: Position one foot with the heel facing towards the bottom end of the boot jack and slide the heel of the boot into the U-shaped notch.

Step 3: Gently press down with your other foot on the base plate of the boot jack for better grip and leverage.

Step 4: Gradually apply pressure and pull your foot out of the boot while maintaining the support provided by the boot jack.

Step 5: Repeat the process for your other foot.

3.Using a Shoehorn

Sometimes, for a particularly tight pair of boots, it may be helpful to use a shoehorn to help your foot slide into the boot with ease. Here’s how to use a shoehorn:

Step 1: Find a long-handled shoehorn that can reach deep into your boot without causing discomfort.

Step 2: First, put on your socks and sit down in a comfortable position with your boots nearby.

Step 3: Grab one boot and insert the tip of the shoehorn along the inside of the heel between the boot’s inner surface and your foot.

Step 4: Gently push your foot into the boot while using the shoehorn as leverage against the back of your heel, ensuring that you properly place your heel into boot’s interior.

Step 5: Once you have successfully placed your foot inside, gently remove the shoehorn while keeping your foot stable within the boot.

Conclusion:

Different types of boots may require different techniques to put them on comfortably and easily. Remember to try out each technique mentioned in this article to find what works best for you. By implementing these methods, you’ll not only save time but also wear your boots more comfortably!
