3 Ways to Put a Bracelet on by Yourself

Introduction

Putting on a bracelet by yourself can be a tricky task, especially if the clasp is stubborn or difficult to reach. However, there are various methods to make this process easier and hassle-free. In this article, we will explore three effective ways to put a bracelet on independently.

1. Use a Paper Clip

One of the simplest methods to put on a bracelet by yourself involves using an everyday office supply – the paper clip. Follow the steps below:

– Unfold one end of a paper clip

– Attach the unfolded end of the paper clip to the bracelet’s ring (the opposite part of the clasp)

– Hold the paper clip in your hand while wrapping the bracelet around your wrist

– With your free hand, use your fingers to open the clasp and connect it to the ring

The paper clip acts as an extension of your hand, making it much easier to reach and secure the clasp.

2. Try a Bracelet Fastening Tool

There are dedicated tools designed specifically for securing bracelets on your own. The fastening tool is one such device that can be purchased online or at any jewelry store. Here’s how to use it:

– Attach one end of the brace-fastening tool to the bracelet’s ring

– Hold the tool’s handle comfortably in your hand and wrap the bracelet around your wrist

– Use your other hand to open the clasp and attach it to the ring while maintaining tension with the tool

Brace-fastening tools are affordable and practical, making them an excellent addition to anyone’s jewelry toolkit.

3. Employ Sticky Tape technique

Sticky tape is another readily available item that can help you put on a bracelet solo. Follow these simple steps:

– Cut a small piece of sticky tape (approximately 2 inches long)

– Wrap one half of said tape securely around one end of the bracelet clasp

– Attach the other half of the tape to your wrist where you’d like the bracelet to sit

– With the bracelet now held in place on your wrist, you can easily fasten the clasp with your free hand

This technique not only keeps the bracelet stable but also allows you to connect the clasp without any assistance.

Conclusion

Don’t let stubborn clasps and awkward angles keep you from wearing your favorite bracelets. With a few simple items and techniques, including paper clips, brace-fastening tools, or even just sticky tape, putting on a bracelet by yourself doesn’t have to be a chore. Try out these methods and see which one works best for you. Happy accessorizing!
