3 Ways to Freak a Black & Mild Cigar

Introduction:

Black & Mild cigars are popular for their unique flavor and affordability. There’s a subculture of cigar enthusiasts who enjoy ‘freaking’ their Black & Mild cigars, a process that alters the smoking experience by removing the binding agent, changing the burn rate, and enhancing the flavor. In this article, we will explore three different ways to freak a Black & Mild cigar.

1. Removing the Tobacco Paper:

One common way to freak a Black & Mild is to remove the outer tobacco paper. This process eliminates unwanted chemicals that are present in the adhesive used to bind the paper. Here’s how to do it:

– Hold the Black & Mild between your thumb and index finger, with its paper seam facing up.

– Locate the glue strip running along the length of the cigar.

– Carefully pick at one end of the glue strip with your fingernail or a small sharp object, and gently peel it off while rotating the cigar. Be cautious not to tear or damage the inner tobacco leaf.

By removing the outer tobacco paper, you may enjoy a smoother, cleaner smoke with less harshness.

2. Hollowing Out The Filler Tobacco:

Another popular method involves hollowing out some of the filler tobacco inside the Black & Mild. Doing so creates more airflow through the cigar, allowing for an easier draw and producing more smoke. Here’s how:

– Hold one end of the cigar between your thumb and index finger.

– Gently roll it back and forth while applying slight pressure.

– As you do so, lightly tap on a table or hard surface to dislodge some of the loose tobacco.

– Continue rolling and tapping until you have removed enough filler for your desired airflow.

Remember not to overly hollow out your cigar as doing so may make it burn too quickly or unevenly.

3. Re-rolling with Flavored Tobacco:

If you want to add a unique twist to your Black & Mild, you can re-roll it with flavored pipe tobacco. This will give it a more distinct and customized taste. Follow these steps:

– Carefully unroll the tobacco leaf from your Black & Mild and set it aside.

– Empty out the remaining filler tobacco and replace it with your preferred flavored pipe tobacco.

– Roll the tobacco leaf back onto the cigar, ensuring that it’s tightly wrapped around the flavored filler.

– Lick the inner edge of the tobacco leaf and firmly press it onto itself to seal.

Experimenting with different flavors of pipe tobacco can lead to discovering new, enjoyable smoking experiences.

Conclusion:

Freaking a Black & Mild cigar allows you to customize and enhance your smoking experience. With these three methods, you can remove harsh chemicals, improve airflow, and tailor the taste to your liking. So, go ahead, and freak your favorite Black & Mild to enjoy a unique and personalized smoke.
