Introduction:

Deleting Facebook contacts from an iPhone might be necessary for a range of reasons. Maybe you want to declutter your contact list, or perhaps you crave more privacy from the social media giant. Whatever your reasons, this article will guide you through three methods to remove Facebook contacts from your iPhone. Now, let’s dive in!

Method 1: Unsync Contacts in the Facebook App

1. Open the Facebook app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner to access the menu.

3. Scroll down and tap on “Settings & Privacy.”

4. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.

5. Under “Media and Contact,” tap on “Upload Contacts.”

6. Turn off the toggle switch next to “Continuous Contacts Upload.” This action will stop Facebook from syncing contacts with your iPhone.

7. To remove previously synced contacts, tap “Delete All” and confirm.

Method 2: Remove Facebook Contacts Through iCloud

1. Visit the iCloud website (www.icloud.com) on a computer and sign in with your Apple ID.

2. Click on “Contacts” to access your contact list.

3. Search for any contacts that originated from Facebook; they typically have a small blue @ icon next to them.

4. Select these contacts by clicking on them.

5. Click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner and choose “Delete.” Confirm your choice.

Method 3: Disconnect Facebook from the iPhone Settings

1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Facebook.”

3. In the Facebook settings, tap on “Allow These Apps To Use Your Account.”

4. Turn off each app that is related to contacts (such as Contacs or Calendar).

5. Go back to the main Settings page and scroll down to “Contacts.”

6. Tap on “Accounts” and then “Facebook.”

7. Toggle off the switch next to “Contacts” to prevent Facebook from syncing with your iPhone.

Conclusion:

Deleting Facebook contacts from your iPhone is a simple process with three practical methods at your disposal. Whether you choose to unsync contacts from the Facebook app, remove them through iCloud, or disconnect them via iPhone settings, following these steps will help you maintain a cleaner, more private contact list on your device.
