Grilling has always been a popular method of cooking, bringing out the smoky flavors and enhancing the taste of any dish. Riblets are no exception. These small yet meaty ribs are perfect for grilling and make for a delicious meal when cooked to perfection.

Here are three ways to cook riblets on the grill that will satisfy any palate and cater to different levels of expertise:

1. Classic Grilled Riblets with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

– 3 pounds pork riblets

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat – about 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the riblets with salt and pepper evenly.
  3. Place the riblets on the grill, bone side down, for approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Flip the riblets and generously apply BBQ sauce on both sides.
  5. Continue grilling for an additional 30 minutes, flipping periodically and reapplying BBQ sauce.
  6. Remove from the grill when the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C), ensuring that they’re cooked through and tender.
  7. Allow the riblets to rest for a few minutes before serving.

2. Marinated Riblets with Asian Flavors

Ingredients:

– 3 pounds pork riblets

– For the marinade:

– 1/4 cup soy sauce

– 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

– 3 tablespoons honey

– 2 tablespoons sesame oil

– Juice of one lime

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all marinade ingredients, mixing well.
  2. Add the riblets to the bowl, ensuring they’re well-coated in the marinade.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least two hours.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  5. Remove the riblets from the marinade and reserve the excess marinade.
  6. Grill the riblets for 15 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade periodically.
  7. Once cooked through and tender (internal temperature of 160°F/70°C), remove from the grill and allow to rest before serving.

3. Herb-crusted Riblets with Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients:

– 3 pounds pork riblets

– For the herb crust:

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the parsley, cilantro, garlic, salt, and pepper. Slowly add olive oil while stirring until a paste-like consistency is achieved.
  3. Apply the herb mixture to the riblets evenly on both sides.
  4. Place the riblets on the grill bone side down and cook for about 10 minutes, or until lightly charred.
  5. Flip and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of at least 160°F (70°C).
  6. Serve with chimichurri sauce on the side for an added burst of flavor.

These three methods offer unique ways to enjoy riblets on the grill – whether you’re going for classic BBQ, an Asian twist or a fresh herbaceous crust with zesty chimichurri sauce. Choose your favorite approach and elevate your next grilling session!
